We have 25 plus years in the miscellaneous metals industry, specifically centered around the life safety areas of the means of egress in the built environment. Simplified; we specialize in stairs, ramps, handrails, guards, pool barriers, gates and access doors to name just a few.
Early Model ICC Code Advocacy Work
Some of our early code submittals can be seen throughout publications by the
International Code Council during the formation of the IBC & IRC codes, years 2000 and 2003
- 1999-2003 Worked with NOMMA on the ANSI A117.1 standard, ADDAG 2004 ADA/ABA standard and the ICC’s International Building Code for the .01 inch radius.
- 1999-2001 Worked with NOMMA to remove the term ladder effect from the ICC’s 2000 model International Residential Building Code, in the 2001 IRC Supplement.
- 2000 Adoption of the “Infill” structural requirements for guards in the ICC’s 2001 Supplement for the International Residential Code.
- 2000-2003 Adoption of the 4-3/8″ sphere exception for the 2003 International Residential Code on guard infill spacing on stair flights.
